How to choose?

Choosing your suppliers is a daunting task - after all they are going to be a huge part of your day.

If you can fall in love with their work, share their passion and see their creations as a part of your day - if they are just as excited as you are for your day - then you have found your one.

My focus for a wedding is to capture and tell a story from beginning to end regardless of how big or small your wedding day will be - every detail should be captured in the most beautiful way. I am a huge lover of romance and love hearing all the details of the proposal to the wedding day planning.

Where do we even start with this review?! We are so thankful and can't recommend Bear & Butterfly Photography enough. Sarah was just incredible from start to finish. Who Am I?
I am Sarah. A wife, mum to an autistic almost 9 year old and I am addicted to happiness.

I love adventures, tattoos and red wine - along with my family and friends.

I began photographing newborns & weddings a few months after my little boy was born and fell head over heels in love with the hustle and bustle of everyone coming together to celebrate with their loved ones. The details, the embraces and the beginning of a new story is what I miss the most when I am not out shooting (which is not very often).

Photography is a huge part of my life and I am never without some type of camera.

Holding a piece of time in your hands - (literally) is the best thing since cheese was invented.

I have an obsession with documenting people and their lives. I have withdrawal symptoms when I am on holidays or over the festive period - a photographers summer.

My photography is about capturing the real raw emotional moments from throughout your day - nothing is overly posed or staged. I want my couples to relax into each other, walk hand in hand, talk about your mornings and what your lives ahead hold. Most importantly be in the moment. Spend time with your guests, laugh, cry and feel every emotion. Be open to soaking each other up and laughing with each other during your photographs. Enjoy some quiet moments away with each other from the hustle and bustle of your day.

From the moment I opened the front door she made me feel so relaxed, slotted right into the madness of the wedding morning, didn’t bat an eye when I asked her to take some pictures in the loft (before she knew it was actually a bedroom 🤣) and made everyone feel extremely comfortable!

I cannot begin to describe the happiness and our joy that Sarah brought into our lives with the photos captured at our engagement shoot. I love her spirit, personality, and most especially her skill with a lens!

Do I need a second shooter?

A second shooter is a fabulous way to ensure all angles of your day are covered. Providing a helping hand to your photographer on your wedding day, a second shooter brings so much more to your day than just more images.

A second shooter can be added on to your day for an additional £350.

Do you offer engagement shoots?

I offer engagement shoots & couples adventure shoots.

Celebrate with some incredible images within the Scottish highlands or a remote beach, Forrest or town.

Scotland is full of character through its winding streets of culross, a beach in Loch Lomond, the hills of Glencoe & Glen Etive and mountains in the highlands.
